Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker is designed to provide students with needed skills to deliver high quality and compassionate person-centred care and support based on individual service user’s needs and the requirements in the setting. A healthcare support worker could be expected to check and support the overall comfort, wellbeing and progress of individuals in their care. Clinical activities required may include wound dressings, measuring and monitoring blood pressure, temperature, and weight amongst other tasks.

The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care is delivered as the vocational qualification associated to this course program in meeting the required knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for the apprenticeship standard.

Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker is designed to provide students with needed skills to support registered healthcare professionals in the delivery of high quality and compassionate health and care services. A senior healthcare support worker could be expected to provide clinical, therapeutic or diagnostic care under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered healthcare professional.

The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support is delivered as the vocational qualification associated to this course program in meeting the required knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for the apprenticeship standard.
